“Over the last decade or so, I’ve watched a couple hundred CJDS students develop into well-rounded, caring, thoughtful members of the Columbus Jewish community and citizens of the world.  That’s what gives me the energy to help lead this Board of Trustees and to make sure that CJDS remains a strong, shining example of the best of what Jewish Columbus has to offer.”

"The Jewish mission of healing a broken world can only be accomplished if we have leaders who are educated in Jewish tradition and committed to pursuing that mission through a Jewish path. CJDS is the place where those leaders are being trained from a young age."

"CJDS helps students find and nurture their identities and intellects, connecting simultaneously all parts of their secular/religious, socio-emotional, intellectual, kinesthetic, artistic, musical, scientific, whole-body selves.  The faculty and staff know them, care for them, and push them.  As our oldest has transitioned to middle school, he has found his seven previous years to have served him incredibly well."

“It is so important that young students’ early years are blessed with learning Jewish values in a fun and loving way. CJDS provides students a warm community with experienced teachers and staff who care for students, as if they were their own.  I love the service learning that CJDS offers and how the children (my own included) are taught to think of and serve others.  The 'Giving Gardens' program is a great example of the CJDS experience, as it combines the sacred acts of caring for and respecting elders, along with providing food for those in need. I feel a great sense of pride to serve on the board and help enable this gift to be passed on to others.”

These students have been nurtured and challenged, and are students who become leaders in the next phase of their educations.”
