“Over the last decade or so, I’ve watched a couple hundred CJDS students develop into well-rounded, caring, thoughtful members of the Columbus Jewish community and citizens of the world. That’s what gives me the energy to help lead this Board of Trustees and to make sure that CJDS remains a strong, shining example of the best of what Jewish Columbus has to offer.”

MAHL, Rabbinic Ordination, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion
"The Jewish mission of healing a broken world can only be accomplished if we have leaders who are educated in Jewish tradition and committed to pursuing that mission through a Jewish path. CJDS is the place where those leaders are being trained from a young age."

College Guidance Coordinator, Marburn Academy

"CJDS helps students find and nurture their identities and intellects, connecting simultaneously all parts of their secular/religious, socio-emotional, intellectual, kinesthetic, artistic, musical, scientific, whole-body selves. The faculty and staff know them, care for them, and push them. As our oldest has transitioned to middle school, he has found his seven previous years to have served him incredibly well."

“CJDS is such a wonderful experience. The connections to teachers and the friends that students make during their time at CJDS hold a special place in the memories of our alumni. It’s an honor to be on the Board today and to work hard to make sure future generations will have access to this very special place.”

“It is an honor to serve on the board. I am so grateful that Jewish youth in Central Ohio have the opportunity to experience all that CJDS has to offer. I credit CJDS with helping us raise three well- rounded, independent, and thoughtful young women.”

“CJDS is a special place where secular and Jewish education are integrated in a way that inspires our children to achieve their highest academic potential. Through the love and support of the administration, teachers, and staff, our children have become socially responsible, courageous, and empowered individuals. “It is so important that young students’ early years are blessed with learning Jewish values in a fun and loving way. CJDS provides students a warm community with experienced teachers and staff who care for students, as if they were their own. I love the service learning that CJDS offers and how the children (my own included) are taught to think of and serve others. The 'Giving Gardens' program is a great example of the CJDS experience, as it combines the sacred acts of caring for and respecting elders, along with providing food for those in need. I feel a great sense of pride to serve on the board and help enable this gift to be passed on to others.”

"It is a privilege to dedicate my time towards the continued growth and development of CJDS. As a parent of two children at CJDS, I have watched and continue to watch my boys grow inside a rich Jewish environment, furthering their identities as both Jews and contributing members of our community."

"For just shy of 20 years, I have watched CJDS graduate students (my own children included) who are critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and who are not only socially aware, but who understand their responsibility to make their world a better place. These students have been nurtured and challenged, and are students who become leaders in the next phase of their educations.”
